— Our Story
From the shores of Damba Island near Lake Victoria, a young boy named Mr. Sizomu Godfrey dreamed of making a difference. Growing up in a children’s home under the care of Winners Chapel Ministries, he learned the value of compassion and community support. Later, as a youth leader at Anointed Healing Church in Kampala, he felt a calling to help young people like himself who faced challenges.
With a few church youth, Mr. Sizomu started a group to support and inspire each other. Their meetings began in the church basement, where they talked about their faith, prayed together, and did good deeds in their community. As more young people heard about their work, they wanted to join too. Mr. Sizomu saw the opportunity to do even more to help others.
With the help of friends and volunteers, the group grew beyond the church walls and became Youth of Purpose. From a small island boy with big dreams to the leader of a nationwide organization, Mr. Sizomu’s journey is a testament to the power of caring and working together for good. Today, Youth of Purpose helps millions of young people across Uganda believe in themselves and make positive changes in their lives and communities.
